We took 3 ferries in total and saw alot. We passed farms and local villages where the people gave us a warm welcome. As it was Kymer new year we got to join in some of the local games. A stop at the silk factory where we enjoyed some local fruit, learn about the silk making and made some Cambodian friends.
The cycling itself was a mix between dirt trails and secondary roads. There was a bit of cycling through the city when getting to and from the ferry but we stuck together in a line and felt safe enough despite the Cambodian traffic. Lots of little breaks on the route so do not need to be especially fit.
Our guide was fantastic – informative, enthusiastic and good fun. lots of funny stories were told along the way.
I would highly recommend this trip to anyone wanting to see the Cambodian way of life, the beautiful countryside and to get a bit of exercise!
